 get a wrist guard

By Mike (Newport Beach, CA) on Mar 23, 2009
It took me a little while to get the form down and until I figured it out the overhead lifts hurt my wrist when the edge of the bell was against the back of my arm. It wasn't a big deal but wearing a pair of my kids shin guards made a huge difference. Now I can do the workout without any discomfort.

my legs were shaking after the first workout

By worked me (Broken Arrow, OK) on Mar 23, 2009
My boss introduced me to kettle bells and ran me through a 12 minute workout. I play basketball and raquetball every week and figured I was in good shape. I had a hard time walking after just 12 minutes. It worked my legs so hard I couldn't keep them from shaking while driving home. I did the workout again two days later and I think it's the real deal. I'm hoping my order comes soon.

 Love it.

By rdunk (smithfield, UT) on Mar 24, 2009
I've suffered from lower back pain for nearly ten years. Depending on my level of activity it would come and go. The less active I got, the more pain I'd feel. Running helped, but only short term. About 1 month ago I was introduced to the Weider Kettle Bell and trainer Michael Skogg. I did aworkout with him and was absolutely amazed at the results. The workout itself is difficult. I used all of my muscles from head to toe and the cardio from doing the moves felt similar to running. After the first workout my hamstrings, butt and lower back were very sore, but the good kind of sore...

 Great workout, great product

By Exercise Junkie (Macon, GA) on Mar 31, 2009
The workouts I've done with the Powerbell have been fantastic. They are physically challenging but not complicated. The Powerbell is also very easy to use. I've been pleased with how easy it is to change the weights. The mechanism seems quite sturdy and so far I have had no problems. I generally do all of my exercises with the full 20lbs. but my wife takes it down to 7.5 or 10 lbs. so it's definately nice to be able to adjust it and save space. Overall I think it's a great product that should last a long time and most importantly the workout it gives is incredible. It's also very fast. In 20 minutes I'm beat!

 Tough!

By Ken (Tallahassee, FL) on Mar 31, 2009
I saw the commercial and decided to give it a shot. This workout is tough. the 20 pounder is going to be plenty for me for a little while. I normally workout with more weight but the the cardio elements of this workout 20 lbs. Really makes me sweat and my muscles burn like crazy so I know it will build muscle. Definately a hard but fun workout.

The best change to lifting in years!

By Kelly (Lynchburg) on Mar 31, 2009
The Powerbell is the best change to weight lifting in years. I've cut my workout time by more than half with the PowerBell. In 20 minutes I've had all I can take. Skogg is right about strengthening my back and abs.I definately get a better cardio workout than just lifting weights gives me and the movements are much more naturaly and fluid than typical isometric lifts. I'm glad I tried it. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars is because you needs some type of wrist guard or it gets a little uncomfortable on a couple of the overhead lifts where the Powerbell wrests against your wrist.

 Great Exercise

By Lisa (Madison, WI) on Mar 31, 2009
I always feel like exercise stuff shown on TV is a little gimicky but the commercial for this caught my attention. I called and checked on the return policy and decided it was worth trying. Wow! this thing gives you a great workout. It took a little while to get used to swinging my hips the way the guy does in the exercise video but I've got the motion down now and it works my entire body. I've been amazed at how every muscle feels it. The lever switch piece seems to be good quality and I can change weights very quickly. I've been using it now for over 3 weeks and it's been worth every penny! Thanks!

A lot of Pros to this one

By Paul (New York, NY) on Mar 31, 2009
Pros: 1. Tough workout 2. adjustable weight 3. works every muscle in my body 4. small and compact 5. seems very tough and sturdy 6. simple idea 7. almost unlimited exercises Cons: 1. you might want some kind of wrist band to give some padding. Overall: The best piece of workout equipment I bought! EVER!
